Intended Audience  -  Healthcare Providers with Clinical Responsibilites including - RNs, Physicians, Paramedics/EMTs, Respiratory Therapists, Physician Assistants and Medical and Nursing Students.

 

This class is taught according to the American Heart Association guidelines and standards to train professionals to provide life saving interventions to victims of cardiac & respiratory arrest.  This class covers CPR and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for adults, children and infants.  

 

The Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course is designed to train healthcare professionals to recognize several life - threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use and AED, and releive choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.  

 

This class is taught to the American Heart Assocation 2020 standards for Healthcare Providers.

 

This class takes approximately 3.50 hours to complete.

This course is for people who do not need a course completion card for a job or other requirements.  Family and Friends CPR is ideal for community groups, parent, grandparents, caregivers, schools and students, and others interested in learning how to save a life.

THIS COURSE DOES NOT PROVIDE CERTIFICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT SUCH AS DAYCARE PROVIDERS

THIS COURSE IS A COURSE COMPLETION NOT CERTIFICATION 

This course is inteded for individuals who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of a job responsibility.  This course is also for community members who want to be prepared in the event of a cardiac arrest or serious life threatening injury.

The American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED course teaches students how to recognize and treat cardiac arrest and choking for adults, children and infants.
